Melody grew up spending time in her parent's restaurant, The Watchung View Inn, in Far Hills, New Jersey. From 1990 to 1992, Melody attended the Natural Gourmet Institute in Manhattan, where she studied cooking as well as healing with whole foods.    After Melody moved to Taos, New Mexico, in 1992, she ran a juice bar/café at the Taos Spa and Tennis Club and began cooking for workshop groups at the famous Mabel Dodge Luhan House.    Also, for the past 14 years, Melody has cooked for groups of up to 32 people who have traveled to Taos to attend Moseley Method healing retreats. From the very beginning, people from the Moseley retreats have clamored for Melody to write a cookbook so they might recreate some of her gastronomical delights at home.
