Hello everyone! My name is Ruth and I am a new teacher with La Catalina. We are pleased to be hosting a Latino Film and Cultural Night this year in La Manzanilla’s Multi-Cultural Center. Our opening film, Motorcycle Diaries, will be shown Saturday, November 18th at 8pm. This event is open to everyone (foreigners & Mexicans!)
The event schedule will be as follows:
8:00pm Doors Open 8:00-8:30pm Appetizers, Drinks & Mingling 8:30-10:00pm Film Shown 10:00-11:00pm Discussion of Film
The entry fee is 80 pesos when purchased in advance (includes free drink, appetizers and discussion led by facilitator.) Tickets should be purchased at La Manzanilla Art Gallery on Calle Perula no later than Friday (a day prior to the event.) Gallery hours are between 10am-2pm and 4pm to 6pm, Tues. - Sat. (Tickets may also be purchased at the door on event day, space permitting, but the ticket cost will be 100 pesos per person.)
All of the films shown this year will be Latin films (from Mexico, Spain, and other Spanish speaking countries.) The film spoken language will always be in Spanish, with English subtitles.
