Well said, Barb. Thanks so much for that thumbnail sketch of the great La Manz Gringo Day. Wow, 25 years and you know, it just gets better every year! Correct me if I'm wrong, Barb, but I'm told our ticket cost covers the dinners and drinks for our Mexican neighbours as well as ourselves, not to mention the cost of the band which plays all day at the Casino and at the Rodeo grounds plus Gringo entry to the rodeo grounds. (don't misplace your ticket). La Birria: La Farola: If I recall correctly, this celebration began when the People of Mexico were given the right to own their land and escape the oppression of rich and greedy land barons. If they hadn't achieved this right, we wouldn't be land-owners here either. So, let's be thankful, pay up, and party on. XOR |
