Many of you know Yolis' Restaurants and the family who operate them. Lorena, their delightful 20 year old daughter with the young son, has been diagnosed with bone cancer in her knee. She is scheduled to go to Guadalajara March 15th to have her leg amputated. The family has no insurance. You may remember her younger brother who died a couple of years ago from cancer. In addition to hospital and doctor expenses, transportation, etc. there will be a need for handicapped devices such as a wheelchair, crutches, walker, and eventually a prosthetic leg. I am encouraging anyone interested in helping Lorena and her family with expenses to make a donation of money or equipment. You can make a donation and leave it with Stephanie at the Helping Hands Bookstore (Manos Aydando Libreria) or with us at our home: 140 Maria Asuncion (next to Yolis' beach restaurant).
