Isn't it nice Helga to still have native trees on our land. The variety of birds that visit our native trees is amazing. It's so very sad to see the "clearing" that is done not taking advantage of the young trees that grow very fast if left alone for a couple of years. The food and habitat they provide is vital to the native fauna. Just this last week I had a "Mexican Standoff" with the power company that was going to cut our tree's branches back to our fence because of a new overhead power line that was put in for another spec development done by "you know who". Luckily, I prevailed for now. Our 6 foot green iguanas need a place to live!!! |
