As per the Internet the ONLY way to get a permit to have a gun in Mexico is through the Mexican Council General in Washington D.C. (Americans) Why would you take a gun to the Mexican Military base without a permit? That would mean you brought it into the country illegally per their rules.
Don't they have alarm systems for homes down there?
Oh well, I hope you all get a good rain this season. Not like the floods as in the past.
