Yes you can do it in two days, approx. distance is 920 miles, possible 17 to 18 hours driving. Suppose you are leaving from Laredo TX, believe me, the safer route is Monterrey-Saltillo*-Zacatecas-Aguascalientes-Guadalajara-Colima-Manzanillo- Cihuatlán- Melaque-La Manzanilla • *Please do not drive Saltillo to Zacatecas at night it is a narrow and very straight road, currently a very nice highway is under construction • There are something like 10 toll booths, total payment $800 pesos • Quota must be paid in Mex, Cy., no credit cards accepted • Recommend to overnight in Zacatecas, Zacatecas (after about 8.5 hours driving) Hotel Don Miguel $ 90 USD, secured parking space and good restaurant More travel tips: .Just entering to Saltillo take left lane of elevated pass and always follow the Paisano route to Zacatecas. -Once entering to Aguascalientes and in the third light take a left (road to México and León cities), this is the heavy load trucks by pass, stay in this periphery counting about 16 lights or so then take a left to the Mexico, León, Lagos de Moreno road.(remember not to take LEON road) -When leaving Aguascalientes and in the first toll point to Guadalajara, instead of going straight to Lagos de Moreno take a Right to San Juan de los Lagos, after 28 km. approx. You will get again the toll road to Guadalajara, this will save you 30 km. -Once you enter Guadalajara , keep on the periférico Lázaro Cárdenas until you have the signal to COLIMA that is the LOPEZ MATEOS Ave. in the direction or way out to COLIMA and Morelia states, continue all this way and you will get the Colima Manzanillo Toll Road. Keep on this road (Mex. 200) all the way to La Manzanilla. When leaving Melaque take the direction to puerto Vallarta (Mex 200) (NOT to Guadalajara free road Mex. 80) You will find the La Manzanilla entrance at 14 kms.
