How about boiling a whole kettle of bottled (supposedly already purified) water every morning when you make coffee or tea - then use that for your drinking water for the rest of the day...for me, I am thinking that would help keep up my awareness of how much water I am actually drinking (it's never enough, right?)... if you use an automatic shutoff kettle, the electricity consumed would be minimal. Re the small plastic bottles: use Nalgene,(a much harder plastic) and fill up your own bottle with the boiled water for taking on a hike, etc. |
