After 8 long, hot days with no rain a wonderful thunderstorm brewed up in the early hours of the morning and the result was .59 in. of rain which has cooled things down considerably this morning. At 10:30 AM the temp is 82F (27.8C) with 75% humidity. Total rainfall for September is now at 10.5 inches - last year's total was 12 inches but Hurricane Lane was responsible for much of that total. Gusty afternoon winds for the past week have shredded any potential thunderstorms but those have died down for the moment and it's possible we'll get more rain today. Nothing exciting on the horizon in the way of storms - the tropical depression far offshore should continue to the west/northwest and not be a factor for this part of the coastline. Time for all of you to chime in here and tell us what |
