SO, that severe thunderstorm I slogged through from Manzanillo to LaManz last night just as dark was falling wasn't part of Kiko, but just an average thunderstorm? I couldn't believe how roads were washed out or knee deep in water, and with streams and rocks flowing by! And the wind!Whew! When I finally got to LaManz, I just put my car on high ground and stumbled through the flooded jardin to Helga's place, hoping that the car was safe from flooding. New for me! It DID occur to me once safely home to check for storms online and at that point it did look as if there were two systems and that their edges were bleeding over onto the coast. DEFINITELY more rain and wind pounding in from the coast. Silly me, I had no idea! Once again, hats off to you year-rounders! |
