Mary Jesus Cervantes has a beauty salon one block south from the church, on Maria Asuncion. Marie as she is known is Trini's daughter. Trini takes care of our houses and she also runs the trampolines at night in the jardin. I would like to encourage anyone who would like a great pedicure, hair cut, or any other beauty treatment to vist Marie's salon. Marie trained for 3 years in Colima at a beauty school before opening her shop. It is a great asset to our small town to have her services, and she needs our support to cover her rent in the off season. A pedicure with Marie is the first thing I do when I arrive in La Manzanilla. The cost is 180 pesos and she does a very professional job. So, get those winter toes spiffed up for beach exposure. The salon is open most afternoons, and Marie speaks limited English. Happy New Year. Nan |
