beet greens!

| Mary-Jo's idea really works! If you plant a whole beet in the ground, in a week or so you will have beet greens, and it looks like they just keep coming up indefinitely.(Longer if the beet root was bigger, I guess. If you havent ever eaten them (the leaves), try it - steam briefly, then saute some garlic and nutmeg in butter, and pour it over them...very nutritious, too. |
