Hi Ian,
Be sure to tell them it's a Canadian dog as otherwise you have to pay more money when you come to Canada. I've travelled many times with dogs and the most important thing is to get the little tag from the stewardess that says your animal is on the plane too. One time the dog stayed in LA overnight and I wasn't too pleased about that. So now I tell them if the dog doesn't get on, I get off!
