This is a great breed for people that want a very loyal and active dog. Very trainable and in need of training if you want to have any kind of long lasting companionship. DO NOT, I repeat do not, teach them to play ball. This breed will fixate on the ball and that is ALL they will want to do. They are working dogs...and they need a chore...so if you teach them to "fetch"...that will become their focus...then god help you! If you walk them and just play with them they are wonderful but they seem to get unhinged when they are introduced to the "fetch". I speak from experience...they are wonderful watch dogs. They have amazing in endurance are very loving. They seem to bond to one person but are very loving to others too. It's just that one special person is who they live and breath for.
