Boats on the horizon

There are now two boats on the horizon just South of the point of Tenacatita. One has been there in basically the same spot for about a week, the other has been there for a couple of day's. I have never seen boats stay in one place for so long and am wondering what they are doing. Is it a treasure hunt? Oil and gas exploration? Fishing?

Can anyone with a telescope see what kind of ships they are?

Any information appreciated.
