I just wanted to post a special thanks to the people of La Manzanilla who welcomed my group from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from January 5-16. This group of "non-traditional" students thoroughly enjoyed studying Spanish at La Catalina Language School and were thrilled living with Mexican families in La Manzanilla. They had only positive things to say about their encounters as volunteers, students and tourists in La Manzanilla. I know they frequented many of the local restaurants as well as tourist restaurants in town. An extra special thanks to Julie and Victor of La Catalina Language School who worked extra hard to place these students with wonderful families, to create a great classroom experience and to provide volunteer placements that were enriching and enlightening.
