I've read it all. I still think putting more rocks on the beach, round and smooth or not, is a dumb idea and only a short term solution. And all this is for what? Because of the Semana Santa two week period and their ATV's? They will come and then they will go. After that it is usually quiet. I don't like so much unnecesary vehicular traffic on the beach either however I believe that the Protecion Civil will curb it at Semana Santa just as they did at Christmas. This year was the first time that I've seen any officials do something about it in the 14 years that I've been here and hopefully it wiil become the norm. If it does I believe that less and less peeople will bring their machines here. If you want to do something gather up some beach sand and ring the outer edge of the lagoon with it on the ocean side and pack it down. It will be soft at first but with traffic it will pack. and there is plenty of sand right there. This will only be needed for a short while because of course the lagoon is going to shrink back anyway as it always does. Just another temporary solution but non-invasive and when it washes out will turn back to ordinary sandy beach not a rocky one. Another thing- just because a street is named Boca de Rio means nothing. There is a street named Concha Molida. Does that mean it was a beach made of gound up shells? not likely! I still say leave it alone.
