One of the questions on Larry C's question sheet was about back up systems in case of power failure. We were told at a previous meeting that the municipality paid for the purchase of a generator for that purpose. I have been told by several sources that the pumping station in town where this will be housed is in the process of being constructed. Two ex-ejido presidents have stated that the sewer system will be operational in the very near future. Incidently, the small pueblo of Perula just north of here has just completed a functional sewer system, complete with a freshly paved main street. A good role model and a resource when considering some of the other questions posed. |
