I agree with Ross that sand is the material of choice for this location.
Last Sept. I helped open up the channel as water was backing up on Maria Asuncion in front of the casino. There were three of us digging, Yola, Pedro(?) and myself,none under 40 years old and digging with shovels (after I went and got 2). It took several hours of digging. If anyone puts anything but sand here they should be available to help dig it out when needed!
