I have stopped selling my phones when I return to the U.S. because all the phones in Mexico are "unlocked". That means when you return to your home country you can remove the SIM chip, save it, and put in a pre-paid chip from a carrier like T-mobile. You pay around 10cents a minute but... Then you can use the phone in emergencies or when your battery is dead on your other phone. Surprisingly I have used them quite often. Of course your minutes will expire on the TelCel SIM chip but you can use it next time you come down and maintain the same phone number. I have been around the block on this issue. If you still haven't sold it give me a call and maybe I can buy it for the Clinic de Salud or the Vet. (or any other ideas?) 044)315-107-6907 |
