There is no adding to your statement (below) with the exception of going to the Ejido FIRST and asking them for their input. Hopefully that point is clear to us now.

"Collectively, there seems to be much merit to determining what the processes and fees are to achieve a bank trust. It was pointed out that hiring a lawyer (collectively?) who specializes in agrarian law would be very wise. The laws are complex to the degree that most legal beagles don't understand fully.

One other metaphor or analogy if I may.

Recently there was a lot line dispute between two friends of mine. I suggested to one of the parties that they take the matter to the Ejido. Their response was "I hoped to resolve it before resorting to that level". My response was "the Ejido is the moral authority of La Manzanilla, they are the first level not the last". I think many of us foreigners have the misperception that going to the Ejido with our property grievances (or our praise) is a last resort when in reality it should be the first.
