You can take a first class bus (ETN) from SMA to Guadalajara and then to Barra de Navidad also on ETN. Then a cab ride to LaManzanilla. Takes almost all day, but a comfortable ride. There is an ETN ticket office in San Miguel or you can go out to the bus station to buy tickets and pre-reserve your seats. May is a great month in LaManz. Cooler than San Miguel.
