I know the distance between the two cities (towns). By the type of bite they determined it was a great white and not a gray or tiger. Sharks due travel fast, I'm just saying you should be on alert of your surroundings at all times and yes your chance of being hit by lighting are greater but a least you have a better chance of knowing its coming.If your too dumb to get out of an electrical storm and head for cover cant help you there.
Why the latest attacks? Best answer is sharks travel where the food travels and that seems to be going south. Very few sightings up north as now most sighting are now showing up south of Los Angeles.
The man was pulled out alive but seeing they had no Paramedic crews in the area, a plumber put him in the back of his P/U truck and drove him in. It would seem that resorts where people use the ocean should have some type of EMT's somewhere.
