TO THE PUBLIC OPINION:

The rights of a person, tutor and protect the enjoyment that a human been has, as a constituent of a social context, in his distinct attributes, essence and qualities, in respect to his interrelations with other persons and in front of the State, that being so, the rights of the person by its origin, nature and purpose, do not have more limitations than the rights to third parties, morals and costumes. As a consequence of the above, these must be respected by the authorities and individuals. Therefore, every person has the right to have his life, his physical and psychic integrity; his feelings and beliefs; his honor or reputation, and if applicable, his professional, art or trade title achieved by him, respected, which means that he will not be the object of a demonstration or manifestation that be the cause of dishonor, scorn, or offense that brings discredit, to his name, and if it applies, to his pseudonym, his physical presence, his epistolary, telephonic, professional, tele-printed and testamentary secret, and finally, but not less important, his private life.

The undersigned wish to make public that given certain circumstances and the manner in which they occurred, a distortion of the reality appeared, creating, as a consequence, that we ended up affecting the decorum, honor, and above all, professional prestige of the Architect Alonso Neftalí Mariscal Nogales, and all of this was caused by the misinformation of third parties completely alien to the business concerning only the undersigned and the aforementioned Architect Mariscal Nogales. Things being as they were, information was erroneously spread that invariably affected the professional image of the Architect in this costal region, and for this reason and making use of this medium, we want to make known to the public opinion that this information was caused by a misrepresentation of things, which did not occur in the manner in which it was rumored in the town of La Manzanilla del Mar. May this letter help a little the big damage that was caused to said professional in his architectural career. Reiterating that we are in conformity with the work that was assigned to him by us, work which we received with complete satisfaction and approval, we set ourselves apart, from this point on, from any malicious commentary surrounding these affairs that could arise later on, wishing him in his future endeavors and his professional life the best of luck.
