http://www.lacatalinafoundation.comMessage Board Posting Please help us finish the first classroom module of the new Costalegre Education Center. The 6 x 6 meter structure has been built, with the help of architect Alvaro Chavarín from Careyes and engineer, Antonio Verduzco Robles, who also worked with the Ejido to do the new renovations at La Manzanilla’s bull ring. Now we need to add finishing touches to get the classroom ready for use this summer. This classroom will be the designated children’s room, where we will hold classes and activities for the Mexican children, including English and art classes, tutoring for children and more. Thank you to the many people who are making this possible, both from the Mexican and Gringo communities! To finish this first phase of the Education Center, we are raising funds for the following projects, which include purchasing materials plus installation. All amounts are preliminary estimates and are listed in US dollars: Flooring Cost: $700 Door & Aluminum Windows Cost: $1500 Temporary Palapa Roof (materials have been donated & some labor has been donated) Cost: $300 us Electrical Wiring & Outlets Cost: $200 Paint Cost: $400 Power Post Cost: $800 Fence and Bulletin Board Cost: $200 Ceiling Fan Cost: $100 Lighting Cost: $200 Landscaping (some materials are being donated) Cost: $500 The total cost to finish our children’s classroom and do some additional preparations to the grounds to get it ready for the summer children’s programs is $4900 us. Please contact us a.s.a.p. to tell us what you can give to help us move forward with this project! Contributions are tax deductible in Mexico. If you are not currently in La Manzanilla and would like to contribute to help us finish this facility, you can go to our website at www.lacatalinafoundation.com and pay online through PayPal. Thank you and please contact us if you have any questions or for additional information on the project by email or by phone at (011) 52-315-351-5362. Julie La Catalina Educational Foundation |
