Hope that this doesn't come to pass but long-term computer projections on "global warming" shows that the climate below the tropic of cancer (some kilometers north of Mazatlan) will warm and dry out to the point of all tropical ecosystems along the costal area will become desert similar to Baja and the Sonoran desert. Not too good for Costa Alegre!
