A wonderful story from La Manzanilla's history. Thank you.

Yesterday Dos Metros suggested to meet at the plaque by the Ejido office which is dedicated to the 7 who died on the 7th of June 1937 trying to establish the Ejido of La Manzanilla.

It was only a last minute idea so there were not a lot of people in attendance. The Ejido donated a wonderful bouquet of flowers.

Old time residents of La Manzanilla Dona Chuy and Burras were there. They are the two remaining members of La Manzanilla who lost fathers that day. They and others told stories of that day and age which I enjoyed listening to. Dos Metros took some photos, he said he will send them to me when he gets back to the states.

There is a lot of history about La Manzanilla and this part of the coast. I would love to put together some web pages and possibly some video footage of first hand recollections of stories like I heard last night.
