I think I've seen wheat berries for sale at Herradura in Melaque (in the back where the bulk foods are). I grow wheatgrass from November through May. It doesn't like heat and humidity, so doesn't grow well the rest of the year. My organic gardening book says wheat grows everywhere in the world except in the humid tropics. Grows great in the winter but it doesn't like direct sun.

I usually have friends who drive down bring me a sack of organic wheatberries. If you fly and declare them, they'll take them away. If you get the green light, no problem. I had a bag in my car one time and at the border I was told I couldn't bring them in because they were seeds. I said I needed them for my health, showed him my wheatgrass juicer (this is when I was moving to Mexico), talked some more, and finally he let me go.

It takes about 1/3 cup wheatberries to make about 2 oz. of juice. I'll be happy to answer any more questions - I'm a major wheatgrass juice fan!
