I think you're right about that, but until we see the 4 PM update from the National Hurricane Center, it will be hard to know how much and how soon. This depression has been expected to become a storm for the past 24 hours but is still just an amorphous blob on satellite photos. The latest shows a lot of red on the coast south of Manzanillo but there's been no rain there yet today. The wind has just picked up here in L.M. and we're going to be watching closely to see what's next. I suggest using Weather Underground to track it: http://www.wunderground.com - just click on TD 5-E, then on the latest Discussion, Tracking info, and my favorite - the computer models they use to predict the storm track. That information is from NHC so is as accurate as anything you can find. I also like the Mexican site: http://smn.cna.gob.mx - their info is in spanish but pretty easy to understand. You probably already know all this, but maybe it will help someone else keep in touch with the weather. |
