July's total is now 13.6 inches - last July's was 9.69 inches. I looked today at summer rainfall totals since we've been keeping track (2004) and the largest monthly total I could find was 13.16 inches in August, 2005. You're right that this could be a record year for rainfall but there's really no way to verify it since the only records available are for Manzanillo, P.V. and other places that have very different weather patterns. I wish some of our old-timers would express their opinions on this subject (but if you think I'm going to be specific about who the old-timers are, you're crazy!) |
