Wow - thank you for all that great info, Barb! Do you think the 1985 earthquake in September (8.0 according to USGS) had anything to do with the slide on the road to your house that year? It seems like a lot of rain, coupled with a really huge earthquake, could have worked together to create that amount of slippage.

And more thank-yous to the Villa Montana guys and
to Boca Bob. Please continue to add anything that
comes to mind in the future - I just have one
question - where is Helga in this discussion??
