When I lived in Canada over ten years ago my "socialized" basic health care coverage cost me about $70 per month and I understand it has gone up since then. Dental has never been included in the Canadian health care plan and they seem to have excluded eye examinations recently from what friends tell me.

Dr. Laura Ballesteros Cobian here in Barra is an excellent dentist with very modern equipment, including that for x-rays and she is extremely sanitary. She is located next to the ATMs and the Police Station on Avenida Veracruz just past the main Jardin when coming into town. Her office number is 355-6179 and her home number is 355-5859
