Rip-roaring thunderstorm!

..(that's an official meterological term - I am not totally unqualified for this job, you know). After another (4th day in a row) mostly cloudy day, the skies opened up just minutes after the meeting in the plaza started tonight and we've been treated to an amazing thunderstorm for the past 4 hours or so. The radar at Cuyutlan (back on-line again) shows more convection to the south and west of us, so it may not be over yet. Today's rainfall total was 1.45 inches which means we've already passed last July's total. This is definitely going to be a different summer. It looked from here as though Boca got a lot more rain than we did - hope we get a report from there in the morning. For those weather junkies who haven't discovered it yet - the radar can be accessed by going to: http://www.cna.gob.mx - then click on Radares (on the blue strip at the top of the site). Choose Cuyutlan, click on that and you'll see the current radar signal from just south of Manzanillo. Buen noche from The Wonderful Deanna. |
