Dear all, thought the report may cause some confusion. I send the water to our lab and they gave me the mentioned information. Let me try to explain "total solutes) without being a specialist we have Calcium Carbonate 1,078 ppm Magnesium Carb 160 ppm (total hardness therefore 1,238 ppm Than we have Sodium 160 ppm There is some Silice and Cerum and whatever other stuff and this all together makes it 1,370 ppm total solute. I am waiting for the recommendation of a waterspecialist for the installation of a softener system. Let you. What should scare more is what we did not find in the water and this is Chloride, so there is all the probability of the world for bacteria growth. Easy to resolve - add some chloride. It looks the people of La Manzanilla get always some remarks by the authorities to do so (at least what I was told) Be cautious - don't overshoot the chloride amount if you wish to do add. A teespoon for a total tank is more than enough. By the way - Hello to everybody - I am Harald the new member to La Manzanilla as Daniel writes Saludos |
