FYI I just finished reading an article in the July 21, 2008 issue of Forbes Magazine entitled, Big Sky, Big Trouble. The article talks about the owner of Yellowstone Club, a members-only ski-and-golf resort near Big Sky, Montana. It talks about the owners grand plan to create an ultra-high-end international club called, Yellowstone Club World (YCW). To this end, the owner purchased numerous properties around the world, including a golf resort on the Pacific Coast of Mexico for $40 million. (Can we say Tamarindo) The article goes on to say that the club never took off and membership sales were halted in late 2006. The future of the club, with 320 members, is now up in the air. So, far all of you who wonder why the lights are not on in the villas recently built on the mountain over at Tamarindo, this may have something to do with it. So the future of the Tamarindo Hotel, the 29 casitas and any other development may be a big question mark. Just a little info for those sitting the summer rains out in LM. Enjoy! Adios |
