Mary suggested to me that I should put up the Fiestas information for all who are here in La Manzanilla this summer.
So here it is:
The Fiestas Patronales, is a celebration for the church for our Virgin Maria Asuncion. It consists of 9 days which start today the 6th of August and finish the 15th of August with a great fiesta in el Jardin with fireworks and all.
At 5:30 A.M the are fireworks calling the whole town to "Las Maņanitas"
At 6:00 A.M EVERY MORNING the town goes through the street signing happy b day "Las Maņanitas" to our Virgin and at 6:30 A.M the is mass.
Then at 6:30 P.M EVERY DAY from Requena's store the "Peregrinacion" Pilgrimage will begin, ever year we have a group of dancers, unfortunately this year we did not. They walk to the church and there is Mass at 7:30 P.M.
After mass the are "Toritos" fireworks in El Jardin. Starting the 9th the banda will arrive. The banda will play starting the 10th every morning until the 15th at 6:00 A.M "Las Maņanitas" to our Virgin.
The 15th after 7:30 P.M church the will be Banda in El Jardin, A castle of fireworks. It is a great finale to our Religious Fiestas.
We have a specific program for every of the 9 days. I will post the Program for tomorrow this afternoon, as so on for the rest of the Fiestas.
