IPhone Plan in Mexico

FYI!

I was thinking of buying an IPhone for use in Mexico so I went and checked the Telcel plans discussed on the internet. I thought it would be very convenient to have wireless phone and internet access at my house.

But caution, it looks like it is expensive and if you go over your data MB's (megabytes) per month you will pay $4 for every extra MB of data used.

This is what I saw on the internet for approximate costs:

For $44 american dollars a month you get 200 min. (minutes) of voice, plus $288-331 a month ( price with no value added tax (VAT)- with VAT, for 100 MB's of data. This is with an 8 gigabyte (8GB) phone. The data cost for a 16 GB phone is $395-454.

For $58 a month you get 300 min. of voice and 150 MB's of data for $182-209. The data cost of a 16 GB phone is $288-331.

For $77 a month you get 400 min. of voice and 200 MB's of data for $75-86. The data cost for a 16 GB phone is $182-209.

I am not sure if you can use your IPhone in Mexico and some type of American or Canadien plan
that would make it cheaper!

Any input would greatly appreciated!

Grcias!
