Oxymoroff? What the f is that D??? Occidental Petroleum or is it Accidental Petroleum, Calif. corporations no?

eSmitty get this: from a PBS special on oil...seems that the reason diesel is $4.95 per gallon for uncolored diesel..."red-dyed" diesel is avail here in NuMexico for ranchers (no-tax) well the federal "road-use" tax on a gallon of diesel is $0.24 and the other big markup supposedly is that diesel is the #1 fuel in demand worldwide due to it's effeciency as a fuel " i.e. most kilometers per liter. Also the bigoil boys want their $$$ for having to produce superultra low sulphur diesel.

Mexico is cool in running low-sulphur and also holding the price down for interstate truckers. The USA charges everyone for the "road use" tax in that a VW beetle will cause the same wear on the interstate as an 18 wheeler???

Besides that the interstate truckers also have to pay tax at the weight-stations for wearing out the highway... so when you now buy anything at the store you have paid federal transportation taxes 2x as both the fuel and weight taxes are passed on and you also pay state and if (liq. and ciggies) they can get...fed. sales tax. All this w/o representation.
