The 6 AM report from NHC: |
TROPICAL STORM LOWELL CENTERED NEAR 16.6N 107.2W OR 220 NM SW OF MANZANILLO MEXICO AT 0900 UTC MOVING WNW OR 300 DEGREES AT 10 KT. ESTIMATED CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1000 MB. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS 35 KT WITH GUSTS TO 45 KT.
This storm is not predicted to come anywhere near the coast but unsettled weather all around us is producing rain and cloudy skies in L.M. Our gauge registered .57 inches of rain in the early hours this morning, which has (thankfully) cooled things off a little. Yesterday's high temp was 90F/32.2C with high humidity - really uncomfortable. Today is much better - at 10AM it's 83F/28.3C with a nice breeze blowing.
