It's actually a valid question but poorly presented.

Perhaps a better question would be "what impact would a market crash have on the economy of La Manzanilla"?

The micro economy of La Manzanilla is affected by dollars from outside of Mexico.

I would imagine that there would be a difference in the financial impact of such a "crash" for Canadian's and citizens of the US (to cite just two examples).

Knowing what percentage of the money comes from those most effected would give an idea of the financial impact.

Most who live here full time have low overhead. It was not so long ago that there were a lot fewer dollars in circulation in La Manzanilla and the residents did not have a crisis because of that. Things were tight but there was food and shelter.

People here were happy then and they are happy now, I would venture to state that they will remain happy even in the face of change. The main thing that is important here is family and community, that is what makes the citizens of La Manzanilla rich, it is the only thing of real value.
