These fuel prices really don't effect most of the rich people who live and vacation here do they? So really then who cares? I spend 10k in Mexico for 4 months and fuel is my least concern.
What to start a new redundant topic. This was posted by DavetheWave last Aug.

I guess that he believes that all of us are rich and because he is kicking in $10,000 annually to the economy; he's a big part of that enconomy but really LaManzanilla seemed to be just as well off 9 years ago...before the booming growth.

Don't know if Dave is a property owner or what. Truth is that most rental income goes out of the country to foreign owners who do pay taxes to La Huerta at least I hope they do, but only other income from tourism is from housekeeping and gardening other service jobs? The beach restaurants...Boca, Lora, Jolanda's do pretty well from the local mexican economy even when Dave's not here!

Local builders have plenty to gain from this growth but you are correct in thinking that section of the local economy might shutdown.
