That was one of the strangest little squalls I've
ever seen - some red blobs appeared on the satellite
shot early this morning but the "loop" showed everything moving offshore, to the west. Then the wind picked up and it definitely looked like we were in for some weather. At that point I brought the loop up again and saw that the blobs had suddenly reversed direction and were now moving toward the coast, slightly to the south of us. Darwin was in Melaque about that time and said there was a major deluge there - the mechanics tuning up our car actually had to stop a couple of times because of all the water coming into their work area. La Manz got a little gentle rain out it - .05" - and even though it's still a little windy, the sky is blue, the blob is back offshore and it's no longer red. Odile is long gone.

The only worry I have is whether or not Murphy's Law is operating today ("whatever can go wrong, will
go wrong") - we had the road up to the apartments
fixed today, so I wouldn't be too surprised if something else is on the way. Stay tuned!
