I cant belive you two are jumping on this guy! As I read this, he is coming down to make sure things are done at least to a safe spec!! IF the locals are NOT doing something that is safe and may cause a fire then WHY not have someone offer to come inspect and try to teach the locals a better way to do things........ A safer way! To say that " that is the way things ae done here" is ignorance. If this person is offering his assistance and is doing it for even a small fee to help people that have a home or are building a home, make sure / inspect a job that would prevent a problem in the future .........what is the problem? Maybe the locals would like for someone that has a skill to teach them a better way to do things? I also did not think he was saying that all the locals are " hacks" I think he was simply saying that the job that he saw was not safe and was not anywhere near to codes we have here in the US. Think with the end in mind!
