Does anybody have a Fed Ex Acct.? Long story short: Have a box stopped at Mexican Customs because it has spanish books, school papers and CDs (all okay) and 2 sweaters (not okay). They will either: 1. Send the whole box back to Santa Rosa California or 2. "Abandon" the sweaters If I don't create an account by Jan. 21st (Wednesday!). AND, I have to physically go to Guadalajara to the Fed Ex office there to create an account. No can do! Customer Service Rep at Fed Ex says if someone who already has an account is willing to let me use it to charge the shipping of the 2 sweaters back to USA, the rest of the box can clear and come to me here in La Manz. Of course I will pay the actual costs, I just would love not to "abandon" the sweaters, especially as one of them a friend was kind enough to loan to me (include in the box) for use here at night. What a mess, no? Any help would be very appreciated. Sorry this is so last minute, but it has taken me time to sort out exactly what the deal is with these folks. Please contact me if you can help, and I'll have the tracking number, address in USA etc. (and, of course, dinero) to give you. I will be at Palapa Joe's tomorrow at 11 am for Obama Inag., and then at Christina's fiesta in the evening, but will check my emails all day long. My Telcel cell phone # is: 100-9895 Thanks so much, MaryBeth Blackburn (I rent a room from Chayo and Andres, No. 95, Calle M.A., one block south of El Jardin) |
