I am sad to report tonight at Isabel Jordan, 81, died last night as a result of those injuries.
Isabel was a fixture in the community in Yelapa where she lived for many years. She owned several houses there and rented them out to friends from the U.S. She was visiting La Manzanilla for the first time when she fell off the open staircase, just before midnight, landing on a chair.
The morning after she sustained her injuries, her pain increased dramatically. After she was examined by a doctor in Careyes, we transported her to Med Assist Hospital in Puerto Vallarta where a team of doctors was waiting.
After days in intensive care, two surgeries for the bleeding, dialysis - and being on medication for pain - she passed away.
