It would make sense that this illness may be related to digging up the streets in La Manz, whether it's Valley Fever or something related. We've been breathing dust in La Manzanilla and on our own construction site in Arroyo Seco -- a double whammy!

Perhaps the bacteria in the dirt is from years of throwing gray water out to keep the dirt down?

Michael is getting better, slowly, and I'm grateful that the symptoms happened here with Mexican doctors that are familiar with these symptoms. I've always dreaded the thought of going back to the states with symptoms unfamiliar to 'non-tropical' doctors.

I really appreciate everyone sharing their symptoms, duration and treatment. It might help those who are sick get more immediate and appropriate treatment.
