Hi folks,I to am suffering from some of the same symptoms I have been reading about and have been for over 3 weeks. I live in Manzanillo but do spend considerable time in La Manzanilla,Barra & Melaque. The symptoms I was having is lower abdominal pain on the left side,fever up to 102f,cold sweats ,shivers, sore and achy joints and mussels that seemed to move around daily, swelling in the colon and lower intestinal region which made me have the sensation that I was constipated when in fact I wasn't,headaches and sore neck. After a ultrasound and ct scan and blood work the Dr's here in Manzanillo thought I had diverticulitis and treated me with antibiotics and soon the lower intestinal pain was gone but all the rest of the symptoms remained. After a week of those meds they did another blood test and found I had a nasty amoeba (parasite) so they were now unsure if it was diverticulitis. They changed my antibiotics to the following: Ciproflox 500mg,Flagnase 500mg, Inhibitron omeprazol 20mg. After 4 days of these meds I am now starting to feel a bit better. gone is the fever the chills and high temp,but I am still very weak and suffer from some joint pain that's still moving around and the bowels are still not back to working normal. I hope this info may give you some things to think about as your info has defiantly given me some new questions for my Dr. Thanks for the info. |
