Thank you all for your comments; Ihave also talked with a few natives and visitors and feel I have some good information. Talked with Dave on the Mangrove tour also. Do the Mango tour for sure when you visit LaManzanilla.

For myself I am in the ocean nearly everyday. I feel that the crocs are dangerous and so is the surf or anything wet for that matter. I believe that sharing the ocean with the crocs is a risk of about 18 million to one and that my risk of riding to Melaque with you or anybody is about 1500 to one. So yes I have returned to my habbit of swiming and sailing with contiued respect for the ocean and all its creatures.
