Red Head Snake--Poisonous???

We found a thin 2 ft. red-headed snake on our walkway last night after the black Army ants went through--it had a white and black pattern on the body similar to a Western rattlesnake, and the head was shaped like a cobra. We have searched Google and can't find anything remotely like it. Does anyone know what kind of snake it is and, the BIG question.........is it poisonous? This the second one in 2 years and both were the same size. |
