WORK PARTY TO PLANT MANGROVE SEEDLINGS

Yesterday I was asked by a member of the ejido exec. to gather gringo volunteers for a day of planting seedlings in the mangrove. This coming week or the following week.

I've yet to confirm which day exactly, but I'd like to know how many people are available to help out. As soon as a date is confirmed I'll post it here.

The mangrove seedlings are planted now, because the water is shallow.

I think we would expect to work from @ 8:30-9:00 am to about 4:30-5:30 pm...or whatever is manageable for each volunteer. Expect wet, muddy and shady. BYOShovel.

The ejido will provide a lunch for everyone. Someone from the executive will be there to work with us, and sort things out.

Transportation can be shared, and again the ejido will help.

The ejido is also organizing student volunteers, and members of the asemblea to plant seedlings.

This is to complete a project from CONAFOR, the federal secretariat of forestry.

Please respond on the board, or call me at 351-5459
